Welcome to Camasunarie
| As you reach the top of the ridge you are getting
near. Take a moment to look down into the bay and past Sgurr na Stri to
the Cuillin. If you are lucky and the weather is clear there is perhaps
no finer view in Europe. If the weather is wild, enjoy the elemental
power of the wind and move on. Another 20 minutes will see you into the
house and making a fire to warm your toes. When you've had time to get your bearings and have a look around the house you'll see the decor is faded and the fittings are old and worn. But what does that matter when you look out of the window and see how you are nestled at the very foot of the awe inspiring Cuillin Hills. What does that matter when you wake up to a pair of stags sparring outside. What does that matter when you can catch your own lobsters for supper. Camasunarie is undoubtedly a unique experience, and one much loved by our regular visitors. Come and stay at Camasunarie for a while and you'll see why. |

Over the following pages you'll find out all
about staying at Camasunarie, how to get here and how to book
your stay. Camasunarie House is very much a 'work in progress' and needs tenants sympathetic to old houses which are battered by the weather and time. It is important that tenants DO NOT expect modern style and modern levels of comfort. Camasunarie has all you need to live, including a gas powered refrigerator, gas lighting and a gas stove (perhaps you've guessed by now - there is NO electricity) |

person who can't start the day without blow-drying your hair,
perhaps Camasunarie isn't for you. If you're the sort of person
who likes to roll out of bed and catch a couple of trout for
breakfast, well, Camasunarie is definitely for you! We love it and hope you will too. |
